Here’s the deal:
It’s that time of year, where the weather cools down, and we want to nourish ourselves with good, warm food! During the month of November, a portion of the proceeds from all soups and stews at my Public Kitchen (including my black bean and sweet potato chili!) will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross. When you purchase one of these ready-to-eat, nourishing comfort foods from my Public Kitchen, you can feel good knowing you’re also supporting Canadian Red Cross efforts and initiatives, and in turn helping other Canadian families in need.
Why the Canadian Red Cross?
The Canadian Red Cross is one of Canada’s most impactful charities that helps make a difference in the lives of over a million Canadians each year. When disasters affect Canadians, the Canadian Red Cross responds quickly to provide essential care and comfort to those in need. When I was 19, the Canadian Red Cross helped my own family after we lost our belongings in a fire. I feel strongly about supporting them in return, so they can continue to have a positive impact and give a helping hand to those who really need it like my family did.
Why am I doing this?
I believe that supporting the organizations that serve our community is good for each and every one of us. When we support our neighbours and our friends, we can do better, together. I am determined to give back to our community as much as I can, and bring people together for good!
My soups and stews are available at my Public Kitchen.
Thank you for your support!
